10 Hidden Whatsapp Features

10 HIDDEN WHATSAPP FEATURES YOU PROBABLY DIDN'T KNOW

Whether you're just starting to use WhatsApp or are a years-long addict, you're probably missing out on these hidden features.

Today, we are going to uncover these secrets so you can also become a whatsapp power user.

1.Text Styling:

Image result for whatsapp text styling
WhatsApp lets you bold, italicize or strike through text on the fly. To do so, you'll need to add a couple of special characters before and after whatever it is you want to format.
To bold text in WhatsApp, use an asterisk (*bold*);
To italicize text with an underscore (_italicize_);
To create strikethrough text with tildes (~strikethrough~).

2. Star a message

Starring a message creates a convenient way to go back to a phone number, address or article link a friend sent you. Long-press on the message, then tap on the Star icon.
To view your starred messages, on iOS select the Star tab along the bottom of your screen. Android users need to tap on the Menu button, then Starred Messages.

3. Who do you talk to the most?

Curious about who your BFF is on WhatsApp? If you have an iPhone, it's easy to figure out.
Go to Settings > Data and Storage Use > Storage Use. A list of contacts will populate, in order of who is using the most storage on your phone. Tap on each contact to view more detailed stats, such as the number of messages exchanged, images and GIFs.
Android users can go to Settings > Chat > Chat History > Email Chat to view the same info.

4. Get message details

Ever wonder what time a message was delivered or read? Swipe to the left on a message you sent to view those stats on your iPhone. Android users can long-press on a message, then tap on the "info" icon at the top of your screen.

5. Hide your last seen status

Here is another whatsapp hidden feature I personally use. Don't want friends or random contacts to know your "Last Seen" time? Open Settings > Account > Privacy > Last Seen.
WhatsApp provides three options: Everyone, My contacts, Nobody.

6. Disable read receipts

Going one step further, you can disable read receipts in WhatsApp. This will prevent fellow users from knowing you have read a message.
Open Settings > Account > Privacy and uncheck the box next to Read Receipts.
Note: Turning this feature off will also prevent you from seeing when a friend has read your message. Group Chats will still use read receipts, however.

7. Don't save photos, videos by default

If you'd rather not have WhatsApp saving every photo and video you receive to your camera roll, taking up space and cluttering up your own photos, disable autosave.
On an iPhone, open Settings > Chats and turn Save Incoming Media Off.
Android Whatsapp is yet to get this feature

8. Use WhatsApp on a computer

Image result for use whatsapp on computer
Did you know you can use WhatsApp from a computer with relative ease.
The gist of the process involves selecting WhatsApp Web within the mobile app, visiting web.whatsapp.com on your computer, and scanning a QR code on your computer with your phone and viola you can now use whatsapp with your computer.

9. Custom notifications

instead of having the same alert sound for every incoming message, you can set custom alerts for individual contacts. Doing so will make it easier to know who messaged you without looking at your phone.
Android users should tap on the Menu icon when viewing a chat thread, followed by View Contact > Custom Notifications.
For those using WhatsApp on an iPhone, tap on the contact's name when viewing a chat thread, then Custom Notifications.

10. Export a conversation

You can export a conversation should you need to save it. When viewing a conversation, Android users need to tap on the Menu button followed by More > Email Chat.
On an iPhone, the process involves viewing a chat thread, tapping on a contact at the top of the screen, then scrolling to the bottom of the Contact Info page and selecting Export Chat.

Both devices give you the option to export with or without media attached.
All these Hidden feature will make you a Pro User on whatsapp, so which one aren't you using yet? I bet you wont regret using dem

MEET THE ALL NEW iPhone X and iPhone 8: Specs and Price in Nigeria

MEET THE ALL NEW iPhone 8, 8+ & X

THE NEW IPHONE X packs more new stuff into any device since the original iPhone. It's the most complete redesign of the product ever and even offers a glimpse at what the iphone might become when the world no longer wants smartphones. Of course, you probably won't buy one. Even if you can afford the super high price, getting your hands on an iphone X in the next few months will be like hunting for the holy grail. Except in this case, the fancy one is the right answer.

At an event in Cupertino that doubled as a grand opening of its new spaceship of a campus, Apple launched three new iPhones. Yes, THREE. The iPhone 8 and 8 Plus upgrade the existing models without completely changing them. (More on those in a second.) The third model, the iPhone X, is another thing entirely, we’ll talk about that but first lets dive to specs.

Highlights from the New iPhone 8, 8+ and X

·        All-glass design:

Apple has introduced major design overhaul for the iPhone 8. Instead of the aluminium casing used in the iPhone 7 , Apple has moved to an all-glass enclosure.
This isn't the first time Apple has used glass in its iPhones. The iPhone 4 and 4s had glass front and back panels, with a stainless steel band sandwiched between the two.

However, these phones were plagued by durability issues, with many customers claiming their phones cracked too easily when dropped .
This ultra-strong glass could spell the end for smashed smartphone screens. The iPhone 8 and 8 Plus are made from "the most durable glass ever in a smartphone" according to Apple, and are both water and dust resistant.
They are available in three colours - space gray, silver and gold - and the aluminium edges have been colour-matched to each device.

·        'True Tone' display:

The iPhone 8 and 8 Plus feature the same size displays as their precessors. The iPhone 8 has a 4.7-inch screen while the larger iPhone 8 Plus packs a 5.5-inch display.
Both are Retina HD displays and also feature Apple's True Tone technology - a first for the an iPhone. True Tone, first introduced with the 9.7-inch iPad Pro, automatically adjusts the intensity of white light to suit the lighting conditions in the room.
Apple also claims that its Retina HD display offers the best colour accuracy in the industry.

·        Home button:

While Apple has dropped the home button from the iPhone X, it has stuck with the virtual home buttons from last year for the iPhone 8 and 8 Plus.
This means you can still use TouchID to unlock the phones, and to verify your identity with Apple Pay.

·        Camera:

The rear cameras on the iPhone 8 and 8 Plus are fairly similar to those on the iPhone 7 and 7 Plus. The iPhone 8 has an improved 12-megapixel camera with a larger and faster sensor, enabling faster autofocus in low light, along with what Apple claims is the highest video quality yet in a smartphone, with 4K recording. Yes you saw that rite 4k
Image result for iphone 8, 8+ and x camera
Meanwhile, iPhone 8 Plus features dual 12-megapixel cameras, and includes a new Portrait Lighting mode, designed to make portrait shots stand out from the background.
This works by using the dual cameras to recognise the scene, create a depth map and separate the subject from the background. Machine learning is then used to add lighting over contours of the face in real time.

·        Processor:

The iPhone 8 and 8 Plus both feature the new A11 Bionic chip which feature six cores and is notably faster than the older A10 processor which powered last year's iPhone 7 and 7 Plus.

·        Wireless charging:

The new glass design means that the iPhone 8 and 8 Plus can both be charged wirelessly, using third-party charging pads from the likes of Belkin and Mophie.
The company also gave a sneak preview of the AirPower charging mat, which is due to land in 2018 and can charge an iPhone, Apple Watch and AirPods at the same time.

·        Water-resistant:

Apple's iPhone 7 is water-resistant to a depth of one metre for up to 30 minutes - a rating known as IP67, which is the same as the Apple Watch .
The firm has chosen to go with the same water resistance on the new iPhone 8 and 8 Plus.
IP67 means it will survive a dip in the sink or down the loo, and it won't break if you pour a drink over it, but you probably don't want to take it swimming.

·        New gold colour:

While Apple's new iPhone was rumoured to be available in a striking copper colour known as "blush gold", the Cupertino brand instead unveiled a new version of "gold", which has a slight pink tint.
Apple confirmed that both the iPhone 8 and 8 Plus would be available in silver, space grey and the new gold, ditching the pink-tinged 'rose gold' from the lineup.

·        Augmented reality:

The dual cameras on iPhone 8 Plus are custom tuned for AR. Each camera is individually calibrated, with new gyroscopes and accelerometers for accurate motion tracking.
Apple's ARKit for iOS developers can take advantage of the TrueDepth camera and the rear cameras to create games and apps that mix graphics with a real-world view.

·   iPhone 8 Price and release date:

Both phones will available to pre-order from 15 September, with the devices shipping on 22 September.
Prices start at N280,000 for the 64GB iPhone 8, going up to N339,600 for the 256GB version.
The iPhone 8 Plus comes with a price tag of N320,000 for the 64Gb version and N379,600 for 256GB.

OUR REVIEW:

The difference between the iPhone7 and iPhone8 isnt all vivid but the iphone X is just divine. It doesn't even look like the normal iphone and with it amazing face id couple with the no home button and all-screen design. It is the definition of smartphones.
